Outpost building designed by Work Artist Studio Located in Central Idaho

Located in Central Idaho, Outpost is an Olson Kundig Live / Work Artist Studio designed. The interior has an incomplete recycled fir floor, walls and cabinet facilities, while there is a space in the outdoor garden, which allows privacy and protection against the desert wind. The composition of the building restricts the effect of the site and strengthens the outside desire. This is a hurricane spot, and the bound "paradise garden" differs from the thick masonry walls with a wild landscape. There is a limit on intrusion into the footprint of the house: a simple, clearly defined space in the landscape. This structure gives an example of Kundig’s belief that the work of architect is to create a place experience.

Concrete blocks are easily available for the primary structure; Commercial builders could collect the building quickly and inexpensively. The internal content becomes largely incomplete. Kundig describes the concept as Tootsie Roll Pop: hard on the outside and hard on the inside. Interior finish includes incomplete recycled fir floor, walls and cabinets; Plaster made from natural clay and pigments; And Carrara Marble Kitchen Counters. Other materials used in the structure, including concrete blocks, car decking and plywood, do not require little or no maintenance and are able to meet the extreme weather of the desert four-season specialty.

The building has been designed around an open, multi-functional room ignored by a mezzanine bedroom, with separate studio / office and utility spaces at the low entry level. High on the ground, the main living areas have 360-degree views of the high mountains and desert surrounding. In an atmosphere of an atmosphere, the adjoining garden provides protection to develop a civilized place. There is no change outside the walls.

About Vidhi mistry

Urbanist Architecture took the greatest pride and care in our project, they nurtured it as if it was their own, and demonstrated such professionalism and confidence that cannot be found elsewhere. All the tangible assets of a successful company were shown, great communication, organisation, planning and trust. We received our planning permission with great surprise, as what almost seemed like an impossible task was turned into an i am possible. Would strongly recommend this great architecture company, to those who find it hard to obtain planning permission.
