UNStudio has announced the design of a new innovation tech campus master plan in Bangalore, India. The new campus, called the Karle Town Center (KTC), will make India's developing information technology-based companies a responsive base to position themselves in this new tech hub and provide a general response to the city's growing economy. Inside this thriving tech hub, UNStudio will collaborate with UNSense, sister company to UNStudio’s sister arch tech company. UNSense will develop “Karle Infra" to precision the use of sensory technologies throughout the master plan.

The KTC is a development that aims to define Bangalore locally and to inspire the whole of India to "lead by example" while designing future urban destinations. Currently under construction, the Karle Town Center provides direct connection to the city's ring road artery and extends the metro lines. It is located next to Manyata Tech Park, set on a beautiful view over Lake Nagavara and designed to act as a natural magnet for people and activities in urban panoramas.

The Urban Branding Manual, developed by UNStudio for the Karle Town Center, analyzes detailed elements of the design with a quantitative selection process. The branding manual explains the design objectives and requirements and is conceived as a tool that can help simplify the design intentions of clients, engineers, architects and urban planners so that they can collectively understand the principles and motivations behind previous choices and requirements.
