Kampung Admiralty is Singapore's first integrated public development that brings together public facilities and services under one roof, explained the architects. Traditional approaches are to build their own plot for each government agency, which results in some independent buildings. On the other hand, this one-stop integrated complex maximizes the use of land, and is a prototype to meet the needs of Singapore's aging population. Designed as a community living room, ground floor plaza has the ability to host different events and programming. This outer space is shade and shelter from the floor above, which means that activities can be done without regard to weather or climatic conditions.
