Museum of Pop Culture

The Experience Music Project (EMP) was founded by computer co-founder Paul Allen of Tycoon and architect Frank Gehry of Microsoft. It is a tribute to the musician Jimi Hendrix and the creative development process of American music. The idea of the project was inspired by the Fender Stratocaster Guitar that after every concert Hendrix was destroyed. Therefore, the museum takes the form of an electric guitar deconstructed, which invites people to come to its backbone how music is born.
